A young man has tragically lost his life after falling from the 31st floor of the renowned ITC Ratnadipa Hotel in Galle Face, Colombo. According to police reports, preliminary evidence suggests that this may have been a suicide.
A Heartbreaking Note Found in His Room
Authorities discovered a handwritten note in the victim’s hotel room, believed to be his own writing. The note read:
“Forgive me, mother… I am exhausted, suffering in silence every day. It is unbearable. My heart feels weak—please forgive me. My death is due to depression. I feel no happiness, only an overwhelming emptiness for no apparent reason. Even with friends and family around, I feel a deep loneliness. Forgive me.”
Investigators suspect that the man checked into the hotel with the intent of taking his own life.
