City of Dreams Sri Lanka, South Asia’s first-ever integrated resort, has confirmed that its official grand opening on August 2, 2025, will be an exclusive, invite-only event.
In a recent statement, the resort management warned the public about fraudulent tickets circulating for the launch, emphasizing that no third parties are authorized to issue or sell invitations. “We urge everyone to remain vigilant and refrain from dealing with unofficial sources,” the statement stressed.
Formerly known as the Cinnamon Life Integrated Resort, the property has been rebranded to City of Dreams Sri Lanka following a partnership between John Keells Holdings (JKH) and global gaming giant Melco Resorts and Entertainment Limited. This collaboration paves the way for a world-class casino at the billion-dollar development in the heart of Colombo.
Adding star power to the celebration, Bollywood icon Shah Rukh Khan is expected to attend the grand opening as a special guest, drawing excitement across the region.
The much-anticipated unveiling of City of Dreams Sri Lanka signifies the final phase of the resort’s completion, which includes the luxurious Nüwa hotel, a state-of-the-art casino, and a premium shopping complex.
