Sri Lanka Nears Final Stages of Debt Restructuring Agreement with Official Creditor Committee

Sri Lanka is making significant progress toward finalizing an agreement with the Official Creditor Committee for debt restructuring, according to the Ministry of Finance and Planning.

In a recent virtual meeting, representatives from multiple member nations of the committee reviewed the latest developments in the process. The Ministry highlighted that the government has already put forward structured plans to meet the required criteria swiftly.

The Official Creditor Committee, which consists of 17 countries, is working closely with Sri Lanka to conclude the necessary agreements. This coordinated effort is aimed at ensuring a smooth and efficient debt restructuring process, paving the way for economic stability.
