Sri Lanka Railways has scheduled special train services to accommodate travelers during the Sinhala and Tamil New Year celebrations and the extended holiday weekend.
These additional trains will run between Colombo Fort and key destinations such as Badulla, Anuradhapura, and Galle, ensuring smoother travel for holiday commuters.
Passengers can book their seats in first, second, and third-class compartments, with reservations now open.
According to the Railway Department, these special train services will operate from April 10 to April 20, 2025.
