WhatsApp has rolled out a brand-new privacy feature named Advanced Chat Privacy, designed to enhance the protection of user conversations.
In its official update, the messaging giant revealed that this feature empowers users with additional controls over their chats. With Advanced Chat Privacy, users can now disable automatic media downloads, prevent chat exports, and restrict access to messages solely to the sender and recipient.
This functionality is currently live and can be activated via the app’s privacy settings. WhatsApp emphasized that this upgrade is part of its broader mission to give users more control and safeguard the confidentiality of their personal communications.
